GIVING PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE APPROVAL BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF BILL NO. 3927 (COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 406).

For the information and guidance of all concerned, I, MANUEL L. QUEZON, President of the Philippines, do hereby give public .notice of the approval by the President of the United States on December 6, 1940, of Bill No. 3927 (Commonwealth Act No. 406), entitled “An Act amending section twelve hundred and ninety of the Administrative Code so as to give Collectors of Customs discretionary power to impose surcharges,” as provided in section 2, subsection (a), paragraph 9, of the Act of Congress of March 24, 1934, as amended.
